Following VnExpress & VTC, ThanhNien Online - currently ranking 12th in Vietnam on Alexa - has rolled out a new design.

This new portal is built on Microsoft SharePoint 2007. Media is built on Microsoft Silverlight.

Overall, the blue theme is more pleasant to the eyes than VnExpress is. Since content is right on the left, it is easier to zoom in than with VTC.

Technically, the biggest issues with SharePoint is performance and scalability. Do you think ThanhNien would encounter any problems with these?

Microsoft Word 2007 supports publishing documents to the following blog services: spaces.live.com, blogger.com, SharePoint, communityserver.org, typepad.com, wordpress.com or hosted wordpress blog

User can also choose other types of weblog, as long as the address given is in the correct format.

It’s a nice feature. However, I personally wouldn’t prefer this utility, because I want more control over my content and I’m quite comfortable with typing HTML directly to web-based editors.

But it’s worth a try, as I’m doing now!
