I’ve noticed that Facebook has hidden “Networks” tab for some time.

Now Facebook just announced that they will discontinue Networks and encourage using Groups.

What do you think of this decision?

Facebook should support Tabbed profile, where boxes of applications can be put into tabs.

There are 2 benefits for users if this is implemented:

1. Avoid confusing friends with thousands of applications. I can just show my Information and Wall on the primary tab. All other applications which my friends pay less attention are secured in other tabs.
2. Easier navigation

When inviting friends to an Event…

…or to join a Group:

Without any avatar,

Without any suffix,

Without any link to see the person’s profile,

How am I supposed to distinguished friends of mine who have the same screen name?
